The view of midtown Manhattan from the top of the Empire State Building is amazing! If you’re looking for a higher observatory, try the one World Trade Center!

If it is a nice day this is the place I love visiting. It has the best views of New York. It is so close to The Empie State building which makes the view even better. They don't have a happy hour but the drinks are reasonably priced for a rooftop bar. It has huge comfy seats and a pretty terrifying glass floor that you can stand on a get a cool shot for the gram! If you don't want alcohol you can grab an ice-coffee from the coffee shop on the ground floor and bring it up with you.

Great after work happy hour stop. Good for watching the game with coworkers.

Really solid craft beer bar. Great rotating selection, curated and served by people who really care about the craft. If you're having a hard time choosing, as the bartender, they're very knowledgeable and pretty friendly when the place isn't slammed.

Standard Lufthansa styling (nice and clean). Only drawbacks are the weak internet signal and limited power outlets. Always love the gummy bears, pretzels and good beer. You don't really need to work anyway, do you?

Burlesque, cabaret, and striptease trapeze artists join for a crazy night of debauchery and fun at Le Scandal. Shows run every Saturday at 10:30 PM, and you’re in for a treat every time as the venue pulls all the stops. You never know what you’ll get when you visit, but it’ll definitely be worth it. A must visit for anyone who likes their entertainment on the fun but risque side.

Not a Yellow Tail in sight at this newish Astoria wine store near Astoria Blvd. This unpretentious little shop is full of reasonably priced wine at low markups and friendly employees who are eager to help.

Check in advance if the summer installation is ready - it wasn’t for us, in mid-June, which was disappointing. Unusual range of pieces on show inside were interesting.
