Baymont Inn & Suites Dallas Love Field
Baymont Inn & Suites Dallas Love Field Reviews

Review:

This hotel is super hard to find because it’s located behind a line of other hotels and the only sign is next to another hotel sign. Regardless, it’s near Love Field and they have a shuttle to and from the airport, plus it will take guests within three miles of the hotel which is pretty cool. The front desk staff are very nice and there was a cute breakfast room with a free breakfast. I loved that the pool and hot tub was indoors so you can use it year-round. The room was very nice, but might... Read More

Holiday Inn Austin Midtown
Holiday Inn Austin Midtown Reviews

Review:

The Holiday Inn Austin Midtown is clean and comfortable. The rooms and hallways are especially big, making the whole place feel like a luxurious 5-star hotel (without paying those rates). The bathrooms are a little bit smaller in proportion, but they aren’t lacking in any of the necessities. There’s a restaurant downstairs that offers hot breakfasts every morning. Guests can save a few dollars if they pay for the breakfast while booking their room, which is definitely worth it. I can venture ... Read More

Review:

Ok... Well although absolutely a little pricey in my opinion... Close to 3 bills for 2 nights... it was more than worth it. spotless for one, two they have fresh draft beer OR FRESH BAKED COOKIES until happy hours over (cookie addict here) and Roland... Man you couldn't ask for a better front desk attendant ( I prefer to call him concierge) not only is he a businessman & gentleman and very on top of meeting his guests needs, he's just fun to shoot the shit with. Plus the free signature ex... Read More

Hostelling International Austin
Hostelling International Austin Reviews

Review:

We stayed here during SxSW '09. It's a pretty nice hostel. It has a big grassy area and docks leading up to a lake. It's quite pretty. There is also a private parking lot in front. There's a communal kitchen with free bread, which comes in handy for your drunk, late-night munchies, oh and breakfast.

There are some smaller rooms for 4 or 6 people, but there is also a large dormitory room with many, many beds. Luckily, I was in a 6 person room, which was fine. They have lockers you sho... Read More

Review:

The Japanese decor and elegant, plant-lined commons made me forget I was in Austin for a second. Some bottom floor rooms have a spa, and everyone can access the small pool and hot tub outside. The artwork in the hallway walls is a nice touch, and the rooms are modern and nice. The shower has a glass wall so you can see your room - or whoever is showering - unless you pull the shade down. Kinda cool.

The Prairie by Rachel Ashwell
The Prairie by Rachel Ashwell Reviews

Review:

The Prairie by Rachel Ashwell is one of Texas' best B&Bs, nestled in the countryside of Round Top--almost exactly between Houston and Austin. Rachel Ashwell, the British design icon best known for her line of Shabby Chic interiors, redesigned the property, with a handful of renovated barns, historic homes and cottages that now serve as guest rooms. For anyone inspired by Ashwell's knack for whimsical interior design (think Marie Antoinette meets Texas country), there is an onsite Shabby C... Read More

Review:

It's a luxury hotel that is in desperate need of updating; has a very "old-Dallas" feel. The hotel bar has live music and was a lot of fun.
