Collioure is not unfortunately what it once was, an artists' colony set around a romantic bay, as it has been expanded in the last half-century to become a tourist hotspot especially in July and August. But it is well worth a visit as the bay and old parts of town are still there and there are plaenty of decent lunching opportunities. The artists are there still but very few appeal to us. If you are a collector though you might be lucky though.
