Hua Mei Cafe
Hua Mei Cafe Reviews

Review:

A friend had warned me how pricey this place was when he visited the San Diego Zoo, but despite the warning we still decided to try Hua Mei Cafe since my kids were starving and this was the closest dining facility.

As expected, the prices were high and the servings were small. I paid $9 for a little bowl of rice and chicken. I admit it was pretty tasty though!

OMG!!! Such a cute, authentic Italian joint with limited indoor and a lot of outdoor seating in South Park. AMAZING, FRESH food from various parts of a Italy and daily specials. I had the freshest burrata, pizza in a jar was so flavorful, the various pizzas (rated best in SD, including for gluten-free) was wow, and pastas are homemade. The seafood pasta was yummy!!! And of course, you have to top it off with any of the incredible desserts grandma makes. Mmm... always a wait and street parking... Read More

Tacos el Gordo
Tacos el Gordo Reviews

Tacos El Gordo is sort of set up like an In-N-Out where there are separate lines to order the taco meat of choice for efficiency. However, they don't make you stand in each line if you want more than one type of meat. Instead, just order at the front of whichever line you're in and they will try to hand it over to you. If not, move over and claim it. We stood in the Adobada aka al Pastor line whi... Read More

Il Fornaio Coronado Reviews

Review:

You know it's good when everyone remarks that this feels like our trip to Italy. Such high quality products and really wonderfully done, Il Fornaio is now a new favorite for us. The view is fantastic and the service was attentive and helpful.
We had the appetizer platter which just showcased their great ingredients. The drinks were spot on and the dessert sampler was massive! The cannolis were exactly like I remember them in Rome. We've already booked our next dinner and we can't wait ... Read More
