Water canal system off the San Antonio River, a square shaped canal which I call it ‘The Amsterdam of Texas”. Many tourists boats lit up with neon bottoms float by next to nice hotels and restaurants. It’s a great place to hang out and have romantic dinner at night.

I walked the River Walk twice during my time in San Antonio and I much prefer it at night. I think it's beautiful all lit up and has more charm when there are people wandering up and down the paths. Still, it is worth a visit in the daytime if that's when you find yourself in San Antonio. There are so many great restaurants lining it and you can also take a boat ride!
Kind of touristy, but you'll probably want to see it - love the Esquire bar and restaurant, Acenar Mexican, Tre Italian, Bourdros. Our favorite area is the Pearl, King William and of course - the Mission Reach

When in San Antonio, we always find time to walk at least a portion of the Riverwalk. It's lined with restaurants and shops. You can also go on a Riverboat Tour.

Oh how disappointing the San Antonio Riverwalk is.
Here’s the thing, if you are going to come to San Antonio, you’ve got to go to the river walk. That said, the crowds are crazy, the restaurants over charge and the food is kinda crappy no matter where you go.

A must see for all visitors to San Antonio. There are many restaurants, bars and shops to visit here. Do a boat cruise if you'd rather be driven around rather than walk.

Walk, shop, dine, and enjoy the hospitality of our world-renowned urban waterway. Hop aboard a river taxi and discover for yourself why millions visit every year. Within the lively South Bank block you will find restaurants offering varied cuisine from Texas BBQ, Tex Mex Staples, Italian Specialties, All-American favorites and sizzling Texas steaks.

You need to try the barge at least once. It takes about 30 minutes to tour the Riverwalk. For people outside of Texas, the rate "MAYBE" around $8. For seniors, military, and Texas residents, then tickets are at a discounted rate.

Pretty to go see and walk around. Wear comfortable shoes. It's hot and theres a lot of walking. It's very touristy but there are still some decent joints to grab food and cocktails.

You can walk and down the River Walk and never run out of options. From side vendors, gorgeous buildings, beautiful water that streams through, the colors, food, shopping, it has it all.

The Museum Reach section of the River Walk near Pearl is a most beautiful section loaded with attractions and restaurants. This north section of the river starts at Pearl and continues south to downtown and beyond.

I went here for a convention and it was nice, we ate at one of the Mexican restaurants and Italian restaurants and it was amazing food, especially when your starving from walking around all day.
