One of my best lunches ever ! This Vietnamese restaurant was really extraordinary.
It's pricy - but for a special lunch it's hard to beat. Very refined Vietnamese food. You can have a nice bottle of white wine and snack on all types of delicious items: fresh spring rolls, tangy short ribs, rice and noodle dishes. The service is quite good too.
The food here is really good and has great presentation for Vietnamese food. However, the prices are really high and you can get the same quality of food for cheaper elsewhere if you want Vietnamese.
The food here is good and so are the drinks. Nothing spectacular and isn't the most consistent. I have been a few times and it's been better on some occasions than others. If you're looking for a spot on the water with drinks and solid food I would recommend this place.
This is the highest grossing restaurant in SF - and for good reasons! It is entirely delicious and has excellent service.
Great food great atmosphere. Don't like a tip added automatically. Waiters were friendly
Decent Vietnamese food, but I'm not sure it is worth the hype. Nothing I ate really was very memorable. It is also very crowded and you might have a hard time getting a reservation.
(Too) large portions - delicious variety of Vietnamese dishes done with emphasis on flavor. Many vegetarian options.
Love this place!!! Great view of Bay Bridge. Recommend ordering the lemongrass chicken and crispy imperial rolls.
The food and service at the Slanted Door is exceptional. The Slanted Door existed before the Ferry Building was built, but moved over shortly after completion.
Slanted Door has lovely views and fancy food. Its modern Vietnamese cuisine is unique and delicious. It is fairly expensive, so save it for a big night out!
I spent enough time in this restaurant to hear from multiple people that this was one of the best places in all of San Francisco, and I'm certain now that it wasn't the wine talking. We had to wait a while for our table, but they took care of us with service the entire time. I never felt ignored, neglected, or overlooked. And the food (which is really the whole reason people go) completely deserves any awards that it may have received. You will find extremely unexpected flavors that will open your mind to new possibilities, so be sure to try something you never have before. It will be so worth it.
expensive, not authentic vietnamese food. everything i had on my visit was over salted. the sauces were super gooey. reminded me of what overpriced americanised vietnamese food would be.
Excellent asian food, great decor on the bay side of the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero.
Wonderful location, beautiful restaurant, and very good (not quite amazing) food. The problems are that it gets so crazy busy here and it is rather expensive.
