The menu at Da Kitchen offers authentic Hawaiian plate lunches that are fantastic! Large portion sizes oftentimes makes for tasty leftovers the next day.:)

Breakfasts, fish tempura, teriyaki beef & a signature chicken katsu in a simple, casual space. Island style food in large portions. Try the deep fried spam musubi, kalua pork, Korean chicken, and fish tempura. A must go for delish Hawaiian style plates.

Located across the street from the beach, Da Kitchen offers Hawaiian dishes in addition to standard restaurant fare. I had the Moko Loco and it was delicious in a portion bug enough for two meals.

Had two different bentos and they were delicious and decently priced. Tried the spam musubi and fried spam musubi but weren't impressed. Seems like two much rice.

This is a great place for local and regional dishes. Simple but well prepared. Pricey but they give you a lot of food. My wife and I typically can make 2 meals out of their plate lunches. Their Fried noodles (don't be mislead by the name, it is fresh noodles stir-fried with mixed vegetables and teriyaki beef),Kalua Pork and Chicken Teriyaki are two of our favorites. We generally take out. You can call in your order and it will be ready by the time you arrive. It is a 10 minute drive from Polo Beach Club.

Yummy fried goodness!!!

Spam musubi that is deep fried and delicious. I can't get enough of this thing and only at Da Kitchen.

The portion is extremely ginormous that sharing with a buddy might be a good idea. I also like the chicken katsu too!

Great food and inexpensive. I hope you give this place a try. Cheers!

Da Kitchen Express offers an eat-in or take out taste of classic Hawaiian dishes. Da kitchen is known for making some of the best versions of these dishes and is definitely worth experiencing.

Great local Hawaiian food. This location does take away and is a good place to stop before heading out to the beaches of Kihei or Makena

Great place to grab some food Togo for the beach across the street. The chicken katsu's breading was crisp yet light. Make sure you pick up their Luau Pie - an ube coconut cream flavor! Large portions and great service.

Burger was just ok but the chicken katsu was amazing! So was the coconut cream pie! Good place to try.

Don't go here... Go to the Kahalui location instead. The food quality is much better at that location.

Normally I'm not one to leave bad reviews because I know beauty can be in the eye of the beholder. We had a great meal at Da Kitchen in Kahului and were expecting something similar at Da Kitchen Express and that was so not the case. Long story short, I wanted to leave this review because I don't want folks to give up on Da Kitchen if they have a lackluster experience at this express location. We ordered the fried masubi here and it just wasn't as juicy and seasoned as the version we had in Kahului. We also got the Loco Moco and the Won Fat Guys Chow Fun. My boyfriend asked for no onions in the Loco Moco. The first version we got was loaded in onions. While waiting in line we saw other customers complaining about mistakes with their orders as well. The second attempt still had onions. My Chow Fun noodles were completely devoid of flavor. It was basically noodles, shredded carrots and a small bit of teriyaki beef. Maybe it was an off night. Who knows. The servers were at least really pleasant and seemed to genuinely be doing their best to be accommodating, but I have no idea what was going on in the kitchen. We will 120 percent go back to the Kahului location. Kihei's Express version was simply disappointing. :(

lots and lots of good food here, lunch plates were too much food, had to bring some home. fish and chips were no greasy and tasted great.

Famous for their Loco Moco and Kailua pig plates. A must try for local Hawaiian food in Kihei!

Good spot to try the very popular Hawaiian plate lunch. We like to order food to go and eat lunch on the beach. Try the Kalua pork, and if you’re really daring, order the local specialty, Loco Moco.

Great traditional Hawaiian plate style food and more. The mixed and combo plates are plenty enough food for two people to split. Our favorites are the Sumotori Combo and the Loco Moco plate. Located in the Rainbow Mall (small strip mall fronted by Cafe O'Lei) is just a short walk from our Kihei Kai Nani condo.

Dine like a local! Perfect place for carry-out or dining in for lunch or dinner. You won't have room for all the food that is provided. Wonderful teriyaki! This is the home of the Loco Moco, truly a meal that shouldn't be missed...rice topped with a hamburger patty, topped with an egg, smothered in gravy. Clogged arteries? Who cares?

If you want a big lunch or dinner, this is the place. I couldn’t eat all of mine, but it was pretty good.

Barry Smith

Delicious, large portions, Hawaiian traditional plate lunches, great salads, chow fun, eat in or take out - economical and always satisfying!

Great food for a reasonable price! Tucked away in a strip mall, but always packed.

Lynn P

Very popular restaurant for local Hawaiian food. They have a restaurant in Kahului and an express restaurant in Kihei.

Carolyn B

Very popular lunch site. Huge portions, great prices. Casual atmosphere. Be prepared to wait for a table, but its worth it.

Gary D
