Constructed in 1836 the Arc de Triomphe is a symbol of the Napoleonic Era. Under it is the tomb of the unknown soldier.
Buy online before you go. One month early is enough to guarantee a good place. Amazing view
Champ Elise is a real magic street full of nostalgia. Must visit for best shopping at Lafayette.
Such a great historical place to visit. I know it’s tiring, but climbing up all of the stairs to get to the top is such a great experience and I definitely recommend it!
This is my favorite viewpoint in Paris! Don’t miss out on this. We went in the evening around 6:00pm and were lucky enough to be there during the ceremony honoring the unknown French soldier. It is a beautiful ceremony that takes place at 6:30pm each evening. If you are looking to take a stroll down the Champs Elysees, you should definitely add this on to your itinerary.
Awesome views from the top. The stairs give you a workout though. To get into the arc you have to find the underground tunnel instead of crossing the street.
You will get the best view of the Champs de Elysee from the top of the Arc. It’s breathtaking. You have a 360 view of Paris as well. Go early to avoid the masses.
Great city view, nice place to pictures and suvenir. We enjoy all 548 steps to the top.
One of the biggest roundabouts in Paris, you will likely end up here at some point. Beware it’s a bit hard to find good food around.
Totally great at Golden hour with views of Paris from the top. Great even if you don't go up
A marvel and a masterpiece, this Paris icon can be enjoyed at anytime of day and provide great panoramic views of the city.
Location: Exit: Metro #1, 2 & 6, "Charles de-Gaulle Etoile". It is right outside the metro station. There are a several exits so check the sign before you exit the station.
Admission: Free, unless you want to check out the museum and go up to the rooftop, 9.5 euro.
Definitely have to check it out during the day & night. Very different feel. It is such a landmark in Paris, always have tourists around the area.
Use the underground path to across the street to Acr de Triomphe. It is fascinating to see it up close.
It is a magnificent structure it’s superb in every angle you look at it !! Definitely a breath taking experience
Come here and head up less than 200 steps to top. Here you will see some of best views. Champs Elysee looks amazing from up there.
You have to check this landmark off your "places to see in Paris " list. The view from above is breathtaking and for those with strollers, they have a tiny elevator to make your ascent easier.
The Arc de Triomphe stands proud at the western end of Champs Elysees in the centre of Place de l'Etoile. It was built in honour of those who fought for France, in particular those who fought during the Napoleonic Wars. Names of generals and wars are engraved on the inside and top of the arch whilst tomb of the Unknown Soldier from World War I is found underneath the arch. From atop, there are impressive views of the whole city. It is worth the entrance fee and the hardworking climb.
Pretty but not much else to it. I would recommend just driving by or going to the shops by it.
Wonderful monument and symbol of triumph at the end of Champs elysees. Great views from the top to see the Eiffel Tower.
The view from the top of the arc de triomphe cannot be described! Just seeing this landmark isn't enough; go to the top and see the spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower, sacre coeur, and the champs-elysees!
Also much bigger than I had imagined! It was great to see the arch all dressed up with a massive French flag for the Tour de France!
