Great view of the downtown skyline! Great food, interesting drinks. The volcano is big enough for two, and has dry ice in it for effect.
Came here for brunch and between the table, we ordered the avocado crab tower to start, the french dip, omlettes, I had the lobster sandwich, and then we all shared dessert which was this giant gooey chocolate something cake.
We also ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and side orders of OJ and grapefruit juice for our own mimosa bar. Instead of giving you just a standard bread basket, you get bread AND a muffin basket here w/ mini muffins and raisin bread.
We started with the avocado crab tower and it was beautiful as well as fresh and tasty. However, I do wish they provided more pieces of crostini to go with it.
My lobster sandwich was good, lots of lobster in it, but the bread was toasted to the point where it scratched the roof of my mouth with each bite. I ended up picking out the lobster chunks. Those who got the french dip were happy, and the omelets were fairly standard.
Dessert was a super rich molten lava cake with ice cream, melted chocolate, and crumbled candy bar on top. Good.
Overall, everything was good, but there just wasn't anything that really stood out enough that would warrant a craving to come back.
Service was good.
The food is great, the ambience is fresh, the decor is visually pleasing - but the prices will break the bank. If you can afford it, great, but it definitely is for those with deep pockets. I only go when my rich uncle is in town and treats us all!
Classy on the bay amazing food. Tropical setting.
Nice view of the bay while on a walk along the Ferry Landing.
