Xuancheng is a city with 2,000 years of history and cultural relics. It has a profound cultural heritage and rich tourism resources. There are many scenery resorts, such as the country's largest captive breeding bases---the state-level Chinese Alligator Breeding and Research Center---Chinese Crocodile Lake.         Yangtze Alligator’s Lake area lies in the south of the city, at the end of the Green Axis (with both start and termination at Mount Jingting) in Xuancheng sceneries, with 318 National Highway crossing the south and Wanxi River flowing in the east. To its west is Xuanjin Road and to its south is Xuancheng ancient city.

        The main part of this resort is the Yangtze Alligator Natural Resource Protection Area. In this area, the integrated development of Yangtze Alligator is its main business, which is also mixed with other business, namely, recreation, holiday making facilities, scientific exhibition, and even production. It is of high tourist and economic values.
